Wireless LAN Modules
ROHM's wireless LAN system IC integrates a number of components, including a baseband processor, IEEE802.11 secure engine, RF IC, EEPROM , and an LDO regulator , enabling simple configuration of a high-speed (54Mbps) LAN compatible with IEEE802.11b / g and the latest security protocols (e.g. 64bit / 128bit WEP, TKIP, AES).
Integrating a baseband IC eliminates the need for software at the host side, simplifies device driver setup, and lightens CPU load. ROHM's Wireless LAN Modules supports a number of OS device drivers, such as Linux 2.6, µITRON, Windows XP SP3, and Windows Mobile 5.0 / 6.0, as well as both SDIO and SPI interfaces.
